The apartments themselves are nice, but HILLS properties follow a pattern. You will move in at an overpriced rate. The first year you renew, they will raise your rent $300-$400. When you are ready to move out, they will send you a bill for $2,000 and keep your security deposit. Any time they do renovations, rent will increase to cover it. Apparently it is the same when you move out and they renovate your apartment. They will NOT give you an opportunity to discuss these charges. No move out walk through was offered. When you have questions regarding why you are being charged for several items including a new stovetop and all new carpeting with minimal wear and tear, they will make themselves impossible to get ahold of. An automated system will text and call you every day though to remind you why you never should’ve lived there. If you do live there, be prepared to make it look like you never did upon move out. Edit to add: This is a trend noted in other reviews and by former residents.

I along with my family lived here for two years from 2017 till 2019. This apartment complex is so beautiful with two big lakes and lots of trees in the premises. I lived in a 2 bed apartment with a lake view and I loved it. Because of the lake little further of my apartment patio I got to see all migratory ducks, geese, and other birds. The apartments here have really nice designs and the rooms are spacious. The maintenance system is good. I never had any problem with maintenance of my apartment. My maintenance requests would be taken care of the same day I put in the request. They updated all the apartments in 2019 so the rents were up by some amount. But overall great apartments to live. I want to specially mention about Nicky who was a great and really helpful leasing consultant there. Always smiling and ready to help.
